Carter-Finley Stadium, which is in the final stages of a $97 million expansion and renovation, is the home of N.C. State University football as well as the Aggie-Eagle Classic (football) and the N.C. High School Athletic Association state championship games. The outstanding 57,500-seat venue was the site of the Opening Ceremonies for the 1999 Special Olympics World Summer Games and the 1987 Olympic Festival. Carter-Finley is located next to the RBC Center, near the N.C. State Fairgrounds in west Raleigh.
