NC Museam of Natural Sciences Dinosaur (0.5 MB)

The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest of its kind in the Southeast and features four floors of hands-on exhibits, dioramas of the state's natural habitats and the Acrocanthosaurus, also known as the "Terror of the South."

 

 

NC State Capitol (0.7 MB)

North Carolina's Capitol is at the center of a six-acre park that also offers statues, park benches and shaded walkways. Completed in 1840, it originally housed the governor's office, cabinet offices, legislative chambers and the state library.

Historic Yates Mill (2.0 MB)

The 174-acre park features hiking trails, Historic Yates Mill, Wake County's last remaining gristmill and the mill's 20-acre pond. The old water-powered mill (circa 1756) is fully restored and operable.
